April 2003

Top down, Laura & Kathy begin their adventure.

Kathy looks back as pack horses and mules trudge upward and homeward.

Shade! Blessed Shade!

Kathy cools off under glistening falls - Mooney Falls, I believe.

Laura obviously is unafraid of edges. The several falls of Hualapai and Havasu Canyons are spectacular, as you can plainly see. Here, Laura poses in front of Mooney Falls.

An incredibly lush and serene spot, set oddly amidst the stark and desert climate of the Colorado River's canyon lands.

Havasu Falls, a double waterfall - fantastic. The oases encountered wherever water is present makes for incredible siestas and refreshing dips.

The inviting waters of Havasu Falls - Kathy could not resist.

Laura, being a teacher, was drawn to this schoolroom on the Havasupai Reservation.
